About Us

We are a UK-based historical re-enactment group representing Company B [Tom Green Rifles] of John Bell Hood’s 4th Texas Volunteers.

The original unit served with the Army of Northern Virginia’s famed Texas Brigade throughout the American Civil War, from 1861 to 1865. The present one forms the part of the third company of the American Civil War Society’s Confederate Battalion and participates in a wide variety of events around the country, combining a high standard of authenticity with the informality and individuality associated with Hood’s Texans.

We aim to give a historical impression of what life was like for the people caught up in this conflict and, although we primarily represent a rifle company, there is ample scope within our group for civilian and specialist impressions as well
